The two analytics cookies are created only if you press “Accept” in the banner. If you reject, or simply ignore the banner, they are never created.
We also use one piece of temporary browser storage, which records whether your browser can display emoji. It is technical, contains no information about you, and disappears when you close the tab.
If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages people visit, how they arrived, which device they use, and whether they contacted us. This helps us improve the site. What Google receives, and where it is processed, is described in our Privacy Policy.
Until you accept, Google’s tools are instructed to store nothing on your device and to record no identifiers.
Google Analytics is the only third-party service that places a cookie on this site, and only after you accept.
Our Contact page includes a Google Maps embed, which loads with the page. It sets no cookies on your device, but Google does receive your IP address and browser information when that page opens. This is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Other services we use store nothing on your device: our hosting provider, and Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site. Our newsletter is handled by Mailchimp, which sets no cookies on this website; if you subscribe, our emails may record whether you opened them, as described in the Privacy Policy.
We update this policy when the tools on the site change. The effective date at the top shows the most recent revision.
